In Praise of Das Superpaper

24 May

the changes

I’ve never met a street paper I truly like.  They are, almost without exception, unreadable – with either too many spelling mistakes and grammatical errors, or too many ads.  Which is why I was so excited to find das Superpaper lying on a grubby footpath early this morning.

das Superpaper is a Sydney street zine produced by Rococo Productions.  It’s not easy to find, with only 5,000 units printed, but it’s a great read.  Issue 6 (out now) features Marcus Brown (creator of Renew Newcastle) interviewing cross-disciplinary artists The Changes, as well as a preview of Creative Sydney (on this week), and Glitizern‘s well-dressed Moi Rogers (below).

And I only found one their/they’re/there error (page 7) – and only three ads!  Das Superpaper, Das Superb.
